Big Electric Thinking in a Compact SUV

Meet the Kia EV2 – a compact electric SUV designed to make fully electric driving accessible, practical and enjoyable.

Small enough to feel at home on busy city streets yet cleverly designed to maximise passenger and luggage space, the EV2 combines bold Kia styling with advanced technology and everyday versatility.

Choose from Standard Range and Long Range battery options, with up to 275 miles of WLTP electric range available.

Add rapid charging, an impressive digital interior and Kia's renowned warranty and the EV2 makes a compelling choice for drivers considering their first electric car – or simply looking for a compact EV that's easy to live with.

Choose Your Kia EV2

The Kia EV2 is available with two battery options, allowing you to choose the range and specification that best suits the way you drive.

Standard Range → 42.2kWh | 144bhp | up to 195 miles | ~29 min 10–80%
Long Range → 61.0kWh | 133bhp | up to 275 miles | ~30 min 10–80%

Kia EV2 Standard Range

The Standard Range EV2 uses a 42.2kWh battery and is designed particularly with urban and everyday driving in mind.

Key specifications include:

  • 42.2kWh lithium-ion battery
  • 144bhp electric motor
  • Front-wheel drive
  • 1-speed automatic transmission
  • Up to approximately 195 miles WLTP combined range
  • 10–80% DC rapid charging in approximately 29 minutes
  • Zero tailpipe emissions while driving

Its compact dimensions, responsive electric performance and useful everyday range make the Standard Range EV2 particularly well suited to commuting and urban driving.

Kia EV2 Long Range

For drivers who regularly travel further, the Long Range EV2 uses a larger 61.0kWh battery.

Key specifications include:

  • 61.0kWh lithium-ion battery
  • 133bhp electric motor
  • Front-wheel drive
  • 1-speed automatic transmission

Up to 275 Miles Electric Range

Despite its compact dimensions, the Kia EV2 offers an impressive electric driving range.

Choose the 61.0kWh Long Range battery and the EV2 Air can provide up to 275 miles of combined WLTP electric range.

For many drivers, that means several days of commuting, shopping and everyday journeys could potentially be completed between charges.

As with all electric vehicles, real-world range will vary according to factors including driving style, speed, weather conditions, temperature, vehicle load, wheel size and use of heating or air conditioning.

Fast and Convenient Charging

Whether you're charging at home or travelling further afield, the Kia EV2 has been designed to make charging straightforward.

Both battery versions support DC rapid charging.

Under suitable conditions:

  • 42.2kWh battery – approximately 29 minutes from 10–80%
  • 61.0kWh battery – approximately 30 minutes from 10–80%

For everyday charging, the EV2 also supports 11kW AC charging, making home and destination charging convenient.

Compact Outside, Clever Inside

One of the cleverest things about the Kia EV2 is how much usable space Kia has managed to package into its compact dimensions.

Its upright SUV design helps maximise interior space, creating a cabin that feels surprisingly roomy for a compact electric car.

There's comfortable seating for five, useful storage throughout the cabin and a practical luggage compartment.

The EV2 provides approximately 362 litres of boot capacity, giving you plenty of room for shopping, luggage and everyday essentials.

Made for City Life

The EV2's compact footprint makes it particularly well suited to urban driving.

Its elevated SUV-style seating position provides good visibility, while its compact dimensions make navigating busy streets and tighter parking spaces easier.

Combine that with smooth electric power, regenerative braking and automatic transmission and the EV2 is designed to make everyday driving effortless.

Where can I charge my Electric Vehicle?

Charging electric vehicle couldn’t be easier

More and more motorists are choosing to drive electric and hybrid vehicles. As such, you’ll find plenty of charging points available across the UK, whether you’re in town, at work, or on the motorway.

Public Charging.

A vast number of public charging points can be found across the UK, making charging your electric vehicle easy. Currently, there are over 42,000 public connectors around Britain, in more than 15,500 locations such as shopping malls, public car parks and supermarkets. As such, you’re never far from a reliable power source.

 SEE PUBLIC CHARGERS

From Home

Charging your electric vehicle (EV) or plug-in hybrid (PHEV) at home is simple. You can either use a standard three-pin socket, or invest in a wallbox. The wallbox is a much faster solution, cutting charge times down by several hours. And with manufacturer deals or government incentives often available on wallboxes, it’s a cost-effective option too.

From Work

Many workplaces are starting to provide rapid-charging facilities for employees’ vehicles. Indeed, government help is available for businesses, such as the Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS), which is provided by the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEZ). If your workplace doesn’t yet have rapid charging, you can plug into a three-pin socket.
