The DS 7 CROSSBACK SUV line up is growing later in 2019 with the addition of the E-Tense plug-in hybrid.
“Zero emissions” is the default mode. Every time you start driving it’s as an electric vehicle which focuses on driving comfort and quietness with no CO2 or polluting emissions.
“Sport” favours performance and driver enjoyment.
“Hybrid” automatically optimises the car’s performance and fuel consumption.
“4WD” has drive to all four wheels for improved grip on damp, sandy or snowy roads.
DS ACTIVE SCAN SUSPENSION analyses the road ahead and adjusts automatically, improving comfort on the move to create a unique, smooth driving experience.
This innovative technology employs a camera placed behind the windscreen connected electronically to the front and rear axles. This works with four height sensors and three accelerometers to gauge DS 7 CROSSBACK’s reactions such as speed, steering wheel angle and braking.
The drivetrain is a 200hp (147kW) petrol engine combined with two electric motors totalling 109hp (80kW) and an electronic 8-speed automatic transmission (EAT8). Total power is 300hp with torque of 450 Nm, accessed in Sport mode.
In Zero Emissions DS 7 CROSSBACK E-TENSE 4x4 can cover until 58 kilometres (WLTP cycle) because of its 13.2kW/h battery capacity. Its range will cope with daily trips around town or motorway journeys at up to 135km/h. When battery charge is low or lack of grip demands it, the internal combustion engine steps in.
