October Car of the Month: Kia Stinger
This month Tates has decided to crown the Kia Stinger as the car of the month!
Its fastback silhouette, balanced proportions and bold stylings lend the Stinger an air of sophistication and confidence. Four symmetrical oval exhaust pipes stand out and let everyone know that this head-turner is as fast as it looks. The vehicle is very spacious with plenty of room to relax and a 406-litre boot capacity and expands when the back seats are folded down. The Stinger has a range of advanced technology such as smart power tailgate, head up display, lane-keep assist and blind spot detection just being a few.
The new Kia Stinger has won a range of prestigious awards and was recently named Car of The Year by the Northern Group of Motoring Writers (NGMW) at a presentation at Wetherby Racecourse in Yorkshire. This is the third win for Kia, having previously won in 2011 for the Picanto and again in 2012 for the cee’d. Jeremy Clarkson also seems to be a fan in an article he wrote for driving.co.uk, where he branded the comfort of the car as “sublime” and that when you drive it, it feels “special”.
The attention-grabbing vehicle’s advert campaign has also earned award-winning notice. Due to its impassive online reach, the ad won in the “digital campaign” segment in the Automotive Brand Contest and Red Dot’s “digital advertising” category.
