Job Overview:
An exciting opportunity for an IT Support Technician to provide support for hardware and software across our Sussex-based sites. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading systems such as PCs, terminals, phones, and printers to ensure optimal performance. The role requires effective communication and the escalation of complex issues to the Group IT Manager and Company Directors.
Key Responsibilities:
Required Skills:
·Ownership: Take
responsibility for resolving support calls until completion.
Technical Skills: Experience
with Active Directory, networking, and remote access tools.
Software Knowledge: Expertise in Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and back-office applications.
Networking: Understanding of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, routers, switches, and firewalls
Vehicle Dealership/Petrol Forecourt Experience (Desirable).
Soft Skills:
● 1-2 years’ IT support experience (preferred).
● Ability to meet deadlines and work both independently and in teams.
Additional Responsibilities:
● Troubleshooting: Resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues.
● Helpdesk Management: Ensure requests are resolved within SLAs, providing regular updates.
● Infrastructure Management: Support and maintain secure, scalable IT systems.
● Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date system/process documentation.
● Project Support: Assist with IT project implementations and technical guidance.
● Vendor Management: Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts/SLAs.
● Out-of-Hours Support: Respond to critical issues that affect business operations.
