- Driving Pattern. If you tend to do short journeys that involve a lot of stopping and starting, then even if your mileage is low your timing belt will have been put under extra stress.
- Service History. If you’re not the first owner of the vehicle and unsure of how it was serviced and maintained by a previous owner, it may be a good idea to consider having the belt replaced.
